Sevdalides are back at the Green note with a focus on urban songs, ranging from the early Rebetiko period to early Laiko (folk). In today’s programme, Sevdalides will perform songs from various composers of these periods such as Vasilis Tsitsanis, Manolis Hiotis, Markos Vamvakaris and others. We picked songs that are widely known to Rebetiko aficionados just to break away from our usual underground Rebetiko repertoire.
